Memories of Providence Elem. include:
-Having Grandma Tamra at the school (especially because Kendal was so shy in Kindergarten and the start of first grade. I felt so much better knowing that she had her grandma there if she needee her.)
-Providence Panda Fun Run
-Playing outside for recess. She liked the slides, the train, learning to do the monkey bars, and chasing boys!
-I drove Ken to and from school both years. (In kindergarten I had to walk her into her classroom door every day. In first grade I started walking her to the front door, then she had me walk her half way to the door, then only across the crosswalk, and by the last week she jumped out of the car and ran in all alone without looking back at me once)
-School lunch (We started bringing a lunch about 3 times a week and after a few months she told be she no longer wanted any lunches from home. I guess she got use to the food)
-Reading : Kendal grew so much in reading during first grade. She was one of four in the top reading group in her class.
-On the last day of school Kendal wanted to walk home. We have such a cute neighborhood, Kristy Smith was outside passing out rootbeer floats and all of the kids were so excited for summer!
HELLO TO RIVER HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY!

After school we went to River Heights to find out who Kendal's teacher would be for second grade. She is going to have Mrs. Anderson. She did not recognize any friends in her class, only two names she kind of knew. This made her a little bit nervous because she is already going to a new school and everything is so different to her. I hope she meets a lot of new friends!!

Later that day Kendal and Bryn had dance auditions for Infinity! Welcome to MINI COMPANY girls!!

That evening we went to the Watrins house for Tamra's Birthday. Then we ended the last day of school with a sleepover at our house. The girls ate tonz of treats! Jord brought a bag of frosted doughnuts and by the time they went to sleep they were gone along with the popcorn and sweedish fish. No wonder Kendal came into my bed to sleep with a tummy ache, followed by Reagan. Once they were in my bed they fell fast asleep.

Thanks for the sleepover! Jord had a blast. The Providence Elementary thing made me cry! Ken is so big.
ReplyDeleteKen will do awesome at her new school. It is a good year to have to trade because it was ken's and grandma's last year there together!
